Interviews are highly sensitive, and Kuaimian is designed to put "keep the other side from seeing it, let you use it with peace of mind" first: Interview Copilot's assist window is invisible to screen sharing and recording at the system level, the interviewer's voice is captured locally and uploaded encrypted for real-time transcription, and resume and account data are handled securely on a need-to basis. This article describes what Kuaimian actually does for privacy and security, without overpromising.
Interview Copilot: screen-share stealth + real-time transcription
AI Interview Copilot runs in the desktop app, and both of its key capabilities are designed around privacy:
- Screen-share stealth: The assist floating window renders only on your local screen and never enters the screen-share / recording image stream — the other side can't see it, and it won't be captured in the interview recording. Before a real interview, it's a good idea to start a test share once to confirm the window really doesn't appear in the image.
- Real-time transcription: The client captures the interviewer's voice locally, then uploads it encrypted to the server to be transcribed to text in real time before triggering an answer; only the audio needed for transcription is sent, with no local recording kept.

What's local and what gets uploaded
So the AI can give answers tailored to you, some content needs to be uploaded to the server for processing; the rest stays local where possible. Roughly:

Needing a network connection for the AI to generate answers is inherent to Interview Copilot, mock interviews, and resume optimization; we upload only the content necessary to deliver the feature.
How resume data is handled
The resumes you upload or write are used solely to provide you with writing, optimization, and interview-copilot services, as context for AI generation. You can manage and edit your resume content within the app. Exported PDFs are yours to save and use.
Account security
- Register and log in with a phone number / email; one account works across all three platforms.
- Keep your login credentials safe and avoid staying logged in long-term on untrusted devices.
- Operations involving top-ups and credits are recorded server-side, so account and credit changes are traceable.
