Core Concepts
A single overview of Kuaimian's three core features, how Web and Desktop divide the work, and the account and credits shared across devices.
Kuaimian breaks "preparing for an interview" into three jobs: get your resume right, drill your answers until they're smooth, and have a real-time safety net during the actual interview. Once you understand how these three split the work and which platform each lives on, you'll pick the right tool at every stage.
The three core features
| Feature | What it solves | Platform |
|---|---|---|
| AI Resume | Aligning your resume to a target job: writing, optimizing, tailoring to the JD | Web |
| AI Mock Interview | Rehearsing Q&A before the real interview, reviewing question by question to fix weak spots | Web |
| AI Interview Copilot | Hearing questions live and giving answer ideas in seconds during real interviews and coding tests | Desktop App |
These three map to the three stages of a job search: polish your resume before applying → rehearse before the interview → get a safety net during the interview itself. Run through all of them in order, or use just one.
Web or Desktop
The two platforms aren't "two versions of the same feature" — each carries different capabilities, so choose by scenario:
- Web (use it in your browser): Hosts AI Resume and AI Mock Interview. Just open your browser and log in — no install — perfect for repeatedly polishing your resume and rehearsing Q&A during the prep stage.
- Desktop App: Hosts AI Interview Copilot (including Interview Copilot and Coding-Test Assist). Because it needs to capture system audio, stay invisible to screen sharing and recording, and dock a floating prompt window at the screen edge — all desktop-only capabilities a browser can't deliver — it has to run as a client app.
A simple rule of thumb: prep on Web, go live on Desktop.
| What I want to do… | Use | Platform |
|---|---|---|
| Edit my resume, tailor it to a job | AI Resume | Web |
| Practice and review before an interview | AI Mock Interview | Web |
| Get real-time prompts during a video interview | Interview Copilot | Desktop App |
| Get a safety net for online coding tests | Coding-Test Assist | Desktop App |
One account and shared credits across devices
A single Kuaimian account works across both Web and Desktop. The resume you wrote on Web, your target job, and other context all carry over — Desktop's Interview Copilot factors them in when answering, so the AI gives you not a generic textbook answer but a response grounded in your own experience.
Credits are shared across devices too: the same pool is drawn down from one place no matter which platform you use. AI Resume is free to use throughout with no version limits, while mock interviews and interview/coding-test assist consume credits. For the exact rules, see Account & Billing.
Supported languages
Kuaimian is built for Chinese-speaking users, with a primarily Chinese interface and content, while also supporting multilingual interview scenarios: mock interviews and Interview Copilot handle interviews in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and other languages — understanding the questions and delivering the answers. Coding-Test Assist provides reference code in over seven programming languages, including JS, TS, Python, Java, C++, Go, and Rust — just pick the language for your test.
